PROJECT OVERVIEW
Constructed in 1984, the San Luis I Land Port of Entry (LPOE) is the second busiest non-commercial LPOE in Arizona, processing over 3 million vehicles and 2.5 million pedestrians each year. Originally the port processed both commercial and non-commercial traffic. In 2010, commercial operations shifted to a new port referred to as San Luis II LPOE, located approximately 8 miles from San Luis I.

The port no longer meets the mission requirements of CBP. Existing facilities are significantly undersized and all major building systems are past their useful lives. Expanding and renovating facilities will result in reduced wait times and increased processing capacity for pedestrians and cross-border travelers.
GSA received partial funding for the renovation and expansion of San Luis I in the President’s 2020 Budget. To best use current funds while keeping the port fully operational, GSA is creating a master plan for the project and the work will be broken into two phases.
Phase I will include site development and infrastructure, expanded northbound (NB) privately owned vehicle (POV) lanes, NB primary and preprimary inspection canopies, associated NB secondary processing, expanded southbound (SB) POV lanes, SB primary and secondary inspection and processing building, parking and more. Phase II will focus on pedestrian, administrative, and other facilities to support the CBP mission.
A smaller project to build a new pedestrian annex was completed in September 2018. The $6 million project included an 8,000-square-foot expansion that increases processing capacity, and includes new offices and public spaces.

Making the choice to hire a good tree pruning company is crucial because they will take care of everything for you. More specifically, your tree pruning, tree trimming, tree removal and stump grinding will all be taken care of by your own personal arborist. It is often said that most property owners in San Luis, AZ lack the knowledge to even know what many these stump grinding services are. To shorten up your tree limbs to keep them from causing any damage to your home then you should think about tree trimming. Tree pruning on the other hand is better done to the tree when it is still very young. Doing this will allow you to literally show the tree where you want it to grow which will keep it out of the areas that you do not want it. Another benefit to doing this when your tree is still young is that it will simply be a lot easier to manage rather than wrestling with a heavier and more aged tree. Tree removal however is a service that will always require you to perform stump removal and stump grinding as well. After the actual tree itself has been removed, many people make the mistake of thinking that not much else will ever need to be done. However, the stump is still attached to the roots, and they can continue to spread out underground, which can make seeding a new tree in the same area hopeless. For the people that like to do everything themselves tree service is not suggested because without a seasoned expert to assist you will be placing yourself and your property in great danger. If you are like most people in the San Luis, AZ area, you put a ton of effort into picking the trees you have on your property, so you do not want to just let them grow everywhere and take on an ugly shape, nor do you want to see them die due to lack of upkeep. The best way to avoid this is to simply schedule a tree service in advance. If you’re ready to give your yard a make over, then simply get in touch with Quick Tree Service at
